Charges have been filed after a man was found dead on the ground in front of his Maple Shade home on Saturday evening, the apparent victim of a stabbing.
The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office says John Borger IV, 38, has been changed with the stabbing death of Mark Brooks, 44.
Borger went to Brooks' home on South Maple Avenue according to police and confronted him outside the home. Borger fled the scene; police have recovered the knife.
Police would not characterize the relationship between Borger and Brooks except to say they are acquaintances. No motive was given for the stabbing.
Borger is charged with murder and is being held on $750,000 bail. He has a hearing Monday in Burlington County Superior Court on Monday morning.
Detectives from the Maple Shade Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor's office are investigating.
