Mays Landing Man Killed in Black Horse Pike Crash

A 49-year-old Mays Landing man was killed and two others were injured in an accident on the Black Horse Pike in front of The Home Depot in Egg Harbor Township Saturday evening.

Egg Harbor Township Police say Jefferey Weiss of Mays Landing was killed when another car drove in to the rear end of his vehicle, which was stopped. Weiss was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other car, John Rivera of Mays Landing, and his passenger were taken to the hospital with serous injuries. The Press of Atlantic City reports that police have not identified the passenger.

The accident happened shortly after 6pm and tied up traffic in the area for hours.
