Police in Middle Township say reports of drug-laced trick-or-treat candy distributed in the township are not true.

Police say the rumors, which bounced around social media, referenced laced-candy resulting in people being taken to the hospital.

Police say they received no calls about tainted candy on Halloween night and during a follow-up on Thursday, they determined that all the talk was simply third-hand rumors and speculation.
