With the recent rain, snow melt, and frozen ground, minor river and lake flooding is possible in and around Hamilton Township over the next couple of days.

Hamilton Township Public Works indicates the Great Egg Harbor river is still below flood level but it remains on the rise; the river should crest sometime tomorrow. Minor river flooding will occur on the Upper Great Egg.

As for Lake Lenape and its eastern tributaries, they remain above normal but are not at flood stage. The lake level is expected to rise but not to major flood stage.

Hamilton Township is urging residents along the river and lake to keep an eye on the situation.
