The Camden County prosecutor's Office said Sunday night that Voorhees Police were called at approximately 5:44 p.m. to Genesis HealthCare on the 3000 block of East Evesham Road in Voorhees for a report of a shooting.

"Preliminary findings indicate George Buller III, 62, of Lumberton, fatally shot his mother, Andree Buller, 85, in her room and then fatally shot himself," The Prosecutor's Office said in a press release.

According to a report on 6ABC, the shooter ate dinner with his mother in the cafeteria then took her back to her room before leaving the facility to go to his car. When he returned, 6ABC reports, the man allegedly shot his mother before turning the gun on himself.

"Both were pronounced deceased via telemetry at 6:08 p.m.," The Prosecutor's Office said Sunday night in a press release.

"After the first gunshot, a nursing aide ran toward the room and witnessed the man shoot himself," the 6ABC story states.

No additional injuries were reported, authorities said. A portion of the facility was evacuated following the incident. The residents who were moved out of that wing of the building have not been allowed back, as authorities continue the investigation.

"The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Michael Sutley at 856-617-8003 or Voorhees Police Detective James Buinicky at 856-428-5400," the Prosecutor's Office said.

Information on the incident may also be emailed to ccpotips@ccprosecutor.org.

The office of Dwight Roche, administrator for the assisted living facility, was contacted but would not take calls seeking comment.

This is a developing story. Additional details will be posted as they become available.
