Movie Set in Atlantic City Will Be Shown at Film Fest This Weekend in A.C.
"The Dunning Man", set in Atlantic City, is a movie that you've never heard of - but, you have a chance to catch it this weekend, and I suggest you do!
This weekend, the Garden State Film Festival is taking place in Atlantic City with movies, special guests and special events, parties and more! The festival's website bills itself as "New Jersey's Premiere Independent Film Festival." Events are scheduled at Resorts Casino and Dante Hall. Tickets for events are available at the website.
Thanks to film's producers, I had the chance to watch "The Dunning Man" this week - and I loved it! I loved it for the crazy story of a local young landlord and his crazy tenants, but I also loved it because the film was set here in Atlantic City. Scenes of the city are everywhere, and it appears most of the film was shot in the shadow of the casino formerly known as "Revel." ("It'll never make it", quipped one of the characters.)
Atlantic City figures mightily into not only the setting of the movie, but the story as well.
