A police chase that started on the Pennsylvania Turnpike ended in New Jersey when the Mercedes Benz drove into the woods and flipped onto its side.

The driver was pulled over by an unmarked cruiser near the Delaware Valley toll plaza and took off on the officer around 11:45 a.m. according to NBC 10. The car was pursued over the river and into New Jersey when the driver, identified as a York, Pennsylvania man, tried to exit the highway at Route 130 in Florence.

The car drove off the ramp and into the woods, hitting a tree and catching fire. The drive tried to flee on foot but was caught; his passenger stayed with the car.

Both were arrested and face charges in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
