New Jersey native Ashley Bruggemann was overjoyed to be reunited with her family after returning from Belgium where she experienced the terrorist attack that took place this week at the airport in Brussels.

Bruggemann, of Wyckoff, N.J. arrived at Newark Airport Wednesday where her mom, dad and sister were waiting for her.

She was in Brussels on business with several other co-workers. Bruggemann tells 6abc.com she had just passed through security, when people just started running frantically through the airport.

She and the others were moved to an airplane hangar where she was eventually able to phone her family back in New Jersey to let them know she was okay.
