Elisabeth Scotland of Brigantine, was released from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Thursday according to a post on the  Community Presbyterian Church of Brigantine's Facebook page.

The 22-year-old fell two stories as she left a Red Sox game with her father John, who is pastor at the church. She had graduated earlier in the day from Boston University's school of business.

“She is improving every day. Making great progress,” John Scotland told the Boston Globe. “We’re very hopeful of her condition, and hopeful that she will make a really, really great recovery.”

In the Facebook post, signed by Elisabeth's mother Annie, her recovery is described as "small steps on a long road" and asks for continued prayers to help the Scotland family get through their ordeal.

No definitive cause for the fall has been determined. A preliminary investigation by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety cites extreme force against the bottom of the door causing fasteners to break and the metal backup safety system that held the doors in place.
