Harry Hurley has exclusively confirmed that Jason O'Grady, the Democratic Nominee for Mayor of Northfield, will be exiting the race in order to pursue an opportunity in California.

O'Grady defeated the current appointed Mayor, Jerry McGee, by a wide margin in the recent past June Primary Election. The opening for Mayor occurred when former Mayor Vince Mazzeo won a seat in the New Jersey General Assembly and by state law had to resign his seat as Mayor.

The Northfield Democratic Committee, headed by Jerry Mazzeo will appoint O'Grady's replacement. Well placed sources have confirmed to Harry Hurley that the incumbent Democratic Mayor McGee will not receive the nomination.

A Northfield Democratic blockbuster that Harry Hurley will reveal first is on the brink of occurring. It will involve a very prominent name. O'Grady was a very viable candidate. Hard-working and very well liked.

The Republican Nominee is present Councilman, Erland Chau, who now becomes a prohibitive favorite to become the next Mayor of Northfield. However, stay tuned to my earlier pronouncement, because a major Democratic brand might enter the race.
