And another beach opponent falls to Ocean City. With a final four win over Tybee Island, GA, Ocean City is in this weekend's finals of a national voting competition.

Coastal Living Magazine is running a best beach in America contest similar to the college’s basketball finals brackets and Ocean City has made the finals!

“Thirty coastal states. One beach from every state. Which one of these stunning stretches of shoreline will go from contender to winner in our first-ever Best Beach in America Bracket?”

That’s the way the contest was set up at after Coastal Living editors asked every coastal state in America for their best beach.

Then the beaches were put head-to-head in online voting competition, with the winning beach being featured in the June 2016 issue of Coastal Living, as well as in a special online package.

Before advancing over Tybee Island, GA., Ocean City defeated Rhode island’s Crescent Beach, Connecticut’s Hammonasset Beach State Park and Ogunquit Beach, Maine.

Ocean City is now facing Huntington Beach, California, in the Finals, with voting continuing through midnight Sunday, April 3rd.

Voting in the finals will begin later Thursday night, with a winner announced on April 4.

Now is the time to rally behind Ocean City and vote!
