Pedestrian Killed on Atlantic City Expressway Saturday Night
One person is dead and a lot of questions remain after a fatal car-pedestrian accident on the Atlantic City Expressway Saturday night.
The Press of Atlantic City reports the accident occurred about 9:30 Saturday night at milepost 5.7 eastbound.
The Press quotes State Police as saying a GMC Yukon struck a pedestrian with the driver fleeing the scene.
Authorities found the vehicle and the driver, and the driver was taken into custody.
The identities of the deceased pedestrian and the driver have not been released.
The accident remains under investigation and the circumstances of the pedestrian on the roadway has not been revealed.
