Medical marijuana has been used on humans for years now, but did you know that your pet can use it, too?

To clarify, you won't actually be giving your pet weed. You'll be giving them a form of hemp oil which contains Cannabis. The chemical component of Cannabis is called cannabidiol or CBD. This activates specific receptors throughout the body which can affect the central nervous system and immune system.

CBD can help with inflammatory bowel disease, pain, epilepsy and It can treat nausea for animals with cancer.  It can be delivered to our pets in many different forms, including oil, paste, and herbs.

When it comes to dosage, obviously it depends on the animal.  Dr. Mark Newkirk, of Newkirk Family Veterinarians, has seen great results with it.
