Pleasantville Man Arrested For Allegedly Threatening Children at a Day Care Center

A man from Pleasantville is facing charges after Egg Harbor Township police say he threatened to hurt children at a local day care center Tuesday.

Egg Harbor Township Police responded to the Wonder Years Day Care Center on Ocean Heights Avenue on Tuesday after the school received a threat over the phone. Staffers at the day care center said the suspect threatened to harm children at the school. An investigation led officers to an address in Pleasantville where 31-year-old Matthew Poole was arrested.  Poole was charged with terroristic threats and false public alarm and is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Police say the children were never in any danger.
