The Dune Dash, Margate's third annual beach obstacle course fun-day happens on Sunday, September 11, on the beach at Gladstone Avenue.

An early registration day will be held at Bocca Coal Fire Bistro on Tuesday, August 16th from 5:00-7:00pm. Anyone who registers that night will get a free slice of pizza. This is a good time for school teams interested in doing a little bonding to get signed up for the Dune Dash!

My family has been a part of the Dune Dash in its first two years and everybody loves it! We are looking forward to this year's Dash.

The Dash is a 1.5 mile run along the beach filled with ten challenging obstacles. The obstacles will have a family and competitor level so everyone can navigate the obstacle that best fits their ability level.

The proceeds from the Dune Dash will benefit the Margate Education Foundation. The MEF is an independent community-based non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of education in and providing positive support for the Margate Public School System.

The MEF’s purpose is “dedicated to encouraging community – wide participation and philanthropy in order to enhance and expand enrichment opportunities of all students of the Margate City School District.”
