Congratulations are in order for a pair of local college nursing programs, after being ranked among the best in the state of New Jersey in a new report from a national registered nursing website.

According to the Registerednursing.org ranking of the state's best nursing programs, Stockton's Bachelor of Science Nursing program was seventh best. Atlantic Cape Community College's Associate in Applied Science Nursing degree program ranked #14 in the report.

This ranking was determined by analyzing passing rates of the National Council Licensure Exam from 2013 to 2017, which is a standardized exam that each state board of nursing uses to award licenses to practice nursing, according to the organization.

About 215 Nursing students take courses both at Stockton’s Galloway Township and Manahawkin campus, including those involved in the university’s 15-month accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.

According to the Atlantic Cape Community College website, approximately 150 students are enrolled in ACCC's Nursing program, with seven full-time nursing faculty and ten clinical specialists. Nursing Program graduates have gone on to work in health care facilities throughout Atlantic and Cape May counties and in other parts of the state and beyond.
