Speaking to reporters after Saturday's loss to the Redskins, Sam Bradford said he'd like to return to the Eagles next season and commented on whether Chip Kelly has let him know if he wants him back next season.

“You know, obviously he said it a few weeks ago," Bradford said after the loss. "You know, I want to be back here, like I said. Obviously, we are not at the stage where we have been talking about that, but if it does present itself and I do have the opportunity, then this is where I want to be.”

The Eagles have not had any contract discussions with Bradford, who is set to become a free agent for the first time in his career but gave no indication that the team has discussed bringing him back on a long term deal.

“Like I said, we haven’t engaged in any talks about future contracts.”

Bradford completed 37-of-56 passes for 380 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 16 loss to Washington, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles fell to 6-9 on the season and were eliminated from playoff contention in the process.

“Because we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot," Bradford explained.  "The same things that we were doing in Week 1 and Week 2 we are continuing to do. Good football teams don’t make the mistakes that we make on a weekly basis.”

Bradford refused to discuss his future with the Eagles last week after the Eagles loss to the Cardinals, but after a loss that included multiple dropped passes and terrible defensive play, one has to wonder if Bradford would want to even be back in Philadelphia in 2016.

“You know, I’ve enjoyed my time here," Bradford admitted. "I’ve enjoyed being in Philadelphia. I think throughout my career, I’ve learned that learning new offenses every year, it’s just hard to continue to improve. You are always learning. You are learning new verbiage, learning new plays, learning new systems. And I would really like to stay in the same one and have the opportunity to play a second year.”

Bradford came from St. Louis where he played for three offensive coordinators during his time with the Rams, add in Chip Kelly and since 2010, Bradford has played for four different play-callers.

Do the Eagles even want to bring Bradford back?

If he walks in free agency, the Eagles would have three options - go with Mark Sanchez, who is signed for one more season, add a quarterback via free agency or trade this off season or draft a quarterback in a draft that is not considered a great quarterback class.

If the Eagles sign or trade for a new signal caller or draft one, that would be Kelly's fifth different starting quarterback entering his fourth season as coach.

Either way the Eagles have a big decision to make, but it might be Bradford that makes it for them.

So Eagles fans, should the Eagles resign Bradford or let him walk?
