Second Grader Sends Pep Letter to Eagles Receiver After Loss

Second grader Abigail Johnson from suburban Philadelphia is a big Eagles fan who felt really bad for Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery on Sunday after Philadelphia's divisional round loss to the Saints.

Jeffery let a pass late in the game slip through his fingers, which was intercepted by the Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore, sealing victory for New Orleans. Jeffery told reporters later that he felt responsible for the Eagles loss.

After hearing of Jeffery's reaction, Abigail wrote a letter to her favorite receiver offering encouragement to the Eagles receiver.

"I am a huge Eagles fan. When I watched the play last night I was crying, It's okay to loose a game you don't always have to win a game. We couldn't have won the Super Bowl without you last year. I think you are an awesome player no matter what. It takes lots of practice and courage to catch a ball."

Abigail ended her letter with some words of inspiration....

I love you! My whole family was rooting for you! Don't give up on playing football. Keep practicing. Don't get mad easily, I know you can do it. We all know you are a good player.
