Josephine Stapleton's Route 40 lawn of 1,000 Milk Jugs was an iconic South Jersey roadside landmark since 1974.

The Milk Jug Lady has since left her rented Rt. 40 home, however her legendary artwork lives on!

Many still remember her milk jug displays of Valentine hearts, Irish shamrocks, the Easter Bunny, a rainbow, and the very patriotic American flag displayed in red, white, and blue milk jugs.

Check out a 2008 video from Weird nj.com where she tells the history of her milk jug art.
