After a day of speculation on where and when she would turn herself into police Harris entered Salem Police headquarters early Monday evening, according to the South Jersey Times.

After being processed, the Times reports, Harris was cheered by a small group of women as she was taken to the Salem County Correctional Facility in Mannington Township.

Harris is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of making terroristic threats and being held on $35,000 bail.

Harris has been considered a fugitive from justice since the beating of Catherine Ferreira a week ago on a path in a Salem apartment complex. Bystanders caught the fight on tape but did nothing to stop it.

Perula urged Harris, who had not been seen since the attack, to surrender as had her family.
