South Jersey Man Shoots Dog With BB Gun 70 Times

A Middle Township man was arrested for shooting a dog in the nose with a BB gun 70 times.

Nicholas Spurrier. 29, was arrested for the September 19 incident after the Animal Welfare Society called police for reports they received about a dog being shot with a BB gun according to WMGM TV. An X-ray revealed dozens of shots which led to charges of  animal cruelty and criminal michief but released on a summons.

The Press of Atlantic City reports the dog survived but all the BB's could not be removed.
