Students Against Distracted Driving (SADD) have announced a new competition to tackle distracted driving, and memes are involved.

If your school is affiliated with SADD, an organization that combats impaired, distracted, and drunk driving among teens, you're eligible to participate in this contest.

SADD is searching for creative teens to create a 1-min video or viral meme with the theme, "Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Distracted." There will be 3 video winners, and 3 meme winners, with a cash prize up to $5,000.

On their site, SADD mention that 50% of teen crashes are a result of distracted driving. Through this project, hopefully the message makes distracted driving become socially unacceptable to other teens.

If you or someone you know is interested in participating, click here for SADD website.
