A Vineland man was arrested and charged with two counts of child endangerment after police say he fired a BB gun at two children, according to Vineland Police.

Alfonso Ruiz, 24 was also charged with two counts each of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and held on $100,000 bail at the Cumberland County Jail.

NJ.com reports Ruiz used a lever-action BB rifle to shoot at his 6-and-8 year old stepchildren who were only bruised by the pellets.
