Suspect Accidentally Shoot Himself Fleeing NJ Bar Fight

Daniel Allen, Jr. was attempting to flee a local bar brawl Sunday morning when police say he accidentally shot himself.

Officers responded to reports of a melee outside Craft House and Beer Garden on Route 70 in Cherry Hill around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

A woman reportedly jumped on 23-year-old Allen's back during the fight. He fled as police approached.

Authorities heard gunfire in the distance, leading them to Allen who allegedly shot himself in his 'lower body', 6abc.com reports. The Pennsauken man was transported and treated at Cooper University Hospital.

Allen was charged with possession of a weapon. No word on what led to the fight in the first place.
