It was a disappointing end to a stellar junior career for Carter Hart, who was WHL Player and Goaltender of the Year and set a WHL record for shutouts in a career, but now his sights are set on the NHL.
“We lost out in the first round this year. That’s not good enough,” Hextall said. “We’re the Philadelphia Flyers and we take pride in being a franchise that winning is the only thing. That hasn’t changed."
There's no way to truly know if this was a sign of things to come in the series until Game 2 on Friday, but much like the four regular-season meetings between these two teams, one team was clearly superior.
