Two teenage drivers have been cited in a crash that left eight juveniles injured.

Egg Harbor Township police say the crash on Zion Road occurred around 1:35 p.m. Monday. They say a sport utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old township girl failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a car driven by a 17-year-old Somers Point boy.

Authorities announced Tuesday that both drivers were cited for violating the occupant provision of the graduated driver's licenses, while the girl received two other citations.

Police say two of the injured juveniles suffered moderate injuries, while the other six had less serious injuries. But further details on their conditions have not been disclosed.

Police have not said how many people were in each car.
