Someone stole tools and equipment from a construction site where the South Jersey non-profit Habitat for Humanity builds homes for those in need.

NJ.com reports these cold-hearted thieves stole from the Salem County chapter on Monday.

Reportedly, when they returned to the construction site, they discovered the heavy-duty lock on their trailer was broken. These thieves stole $4,000 worth of tools that was given to Habitat as a grant. Among these tools were saws, drills, drivers, chargers, and wrenches - all things necessary to complete their project.

Until their supply is restored, Habitat is unable to complete the two new homes in Pittsgrove Township.

For now, NJSP are investigating the situation but anyone interested in helping to replenish the supply can contact Habitat at 856-299-7995.
