Three South Jersey high schools made Newsweek's annual list of the best high schools in the country.

Each year, Newsweek ranks the best high schools in America. In years past, it's been the top 1,000 schools, this year they expanded their list to 2,000 schools. Out of 93 New Jersey high schools to make Newsweek's list, three are from our region. Ocean City High School, which was ranked last year, is on this year's list at #872, Mainland Regional High School in Linwood is ranked 1,266th, and Egg Harbor Township High School is 1,563rd.

Ocean City High School Principal Matthew Jamison told the Ocean City Gazette, “It’s really a feat just to be selected. I’m very proud of our students, our faculty and staff, our parents and the school community."
