Tina Turner's first born son, Craig Raymond Turner, has died from suicide, TMZ reports. The 59-year died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Studio City, CA. Authorities arrived to his house just after noon on Tuesday (July 3). He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The '80s pop icon gave birth to Craig when she was just 18 years old, before she married Ike Turner. Once she and Ike got married, he adopted Craig, though his biological father was a saxophonist named Raymond Hill who played with Ike's band Kings of Rhythm.

The news comes as Tina was making a rare trip outside Switzerland, where she now resides, to attend Paris Fashion Week events. She has not yet made an official statement about Craig's death. The “Proud Mary” singer also has another son, 57-year-old Ronnie Turner.
