Two Atlantic City men are facing a list of charges after police received a tip regarding the distribution of narcotics in the city.

On Wednesday, according to a press release, ACPD detectives set up surveillance at a home in the 2000 block of Magellan Avenue. They say they observed 51-year-old Jonathan Devonish leave a home when he then met another person. When Devonish was approached by officers, he allegedly threw several bags of heroin on the ground; he was arrested on the scene.

Detectives then went to Devonish’s home and found items that are indicative of narcotic distribution and prescription pills.  Detectives also located 25-year-old Isiah Pettis in the bathroom with the toilet running. Believing that Pettis had flushed narcotics, they disconnected some pipes and found 140 bags of heroin along with cocaine and marijuana packaged for sale.

Following their arrest, both Devonish and Pettis were each placed on a summons with a future court date.
