SHAMONG — State Police have confirmed three people died in a crash in the Tabernacle section of Shamong in Burlington County on Monday afternoon.

Police said the three were killed in the crash around noon about three miles from Seneca High School. No other details about the incident were disclosed by police.

6 ABC Action News, however, quoted State Police saying two adult males and a pregnant teenage girl were killed in the crash. A State Police spokesman would not confirm that for New Jersey 101.5.

Helicopter footage showed one of the vehicles involved, an SUV, wrapped around a utility  pole on its side.

The news station quoted unnamed sources saying the SUV was stolen and the occupants were trying to get away from police at a high rate of speed.

Seneca High is part of the Lenape Regional High School district. About 1,200 students from Shamong Township, Southampton Township, Tabernacle Township and Woodland Township attend Seneca.
