Two Dead Following Sunday Morning Shooting at a Hotel in Absecon

Two men from Atlantic County were found shot to death early Sunday morning at a hotel in Absecon.

Just before 5AM Sunday morning, Absecon police responded to the Red Roof Inn on East Absecon Boulevard. When they arrived, two men were found dead inside the hotel of apparent gunshot wounds. Those two men have been identified as 22-year-old Diante Owen of Pleasantville and 22-year-old Gerald Alvarez of Mays Landing. Two other men later arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division with gunshot wounds; detectives are investigating to see if they are connected to the shootings at the hotel.
