Two Killed in Fiery Crash on the Atlantic City Expressway

The New Jersey State Police reports two people were killed Friday afternoon in a fiery crash on the Atlantic City Expressway in Hamilton Township.

The accident happened around 1:30 Friday afternoon on the westbound side of the Atlantic City Expressway at milepost 20.6 as snow was falling across the region, but its not yet known if weather played a role in the accident. Pictures and videos on social media showed an SUV on fire on the side of the roadway. Early reports indicated two people were taken to an area hospital. A tweet sent out by the State Police around 5:00 Friday evening said two people, identified only as a man and a woman, were killed in the crash.
