One student aboard a school bus and a driver of a pick-up truck both suffered minor injuries in a crash Wednesday morning in Mullica Township.

Authorities say they responded to Columbia and Nesco Roads around 6:50 Wednesday morning. Officers arrived to find a heavily damaged pick-up truck and a school bus that collided. Cops say the driver of the pick-up, 60-year-old Carlo Bendetti of Hammonton, and a juvenile on the school bus, were both taken to AtlantiCare for treatment of minor injuries.

Mullica Township Police say there were seven children on the bus at the time of the crash, all students of Atlantic County Institute of Technology.

The driver of the bus, 76-year-old Raymond Guy of Galloway Township, was issued a summons for careless driving.

Just minutes after this crash, cops in Hamilton Township responded to an accident where a 17-year-old collided with the back of a stopped school bus on Route 50. No injuries were reported in that crash.
