Hamilton Township Police responded to the Macy's at Hamilton Mall late Saturday night for an attempted robbery where two store workers were injured.

Around 9:00 Saturday night, officers responded to Macy's at the Hamilton Mall for a shoplifting and robbery. Their investigation revealed that a male and female suspect entered the store and attempted to steal over $700 worth of clothing.

The female suspect was driving a vehicle that was waiting outside of the store as the male suspect exited with the stolen items. Two Macy's employees approached the male suspect and were able to recover the stolen items. The male suspect then jumped into the passenger side of the vehicle and sped away from the scene. This resulted in one of the employees being dragged by the vehicle for approximately 100 feet and suffering minor injuries. The second employee suffered a back injury during the incident.

Police say the male suspect is white, in his mid 20s, with brown hair, and he was wearing a dark colored winter jacket with a dark hoodie underneath, black jeans and a short haircut. The female is described as a heavy set white female, mid 20′s, brown hair, wearing light brown leggings and a dark colored sweat jacket. Their vehicle is a black 4-door mid-sized sedan.
