Two teenagers from Atlantic City are facing charges after police say they were found with a loaded handgun in a car following a traffic stop.

Officers say they stopped a car driving erratically just before 3:00 Wednesday afternoon on Indiana Avenue near the Dr. Martin Luther King School in the city.

After speaking to the occupants of the car, later identified as 19-year-old Darren Nedrick of Atlantic City and an unnamed 17-year-old, officers found a loaded handgun with a high-capacity magazine inside the vehicle. Both occupants were placed in custody without incident.

Both Nedrick and the other teenager were charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
