One of the people police believe is responsible for distributing the heroin that has been flooding in to South Jersey recently was arrested this week by Atlantic County Sheriffs.

According to Sheriff's Office detectives, Nicole Garofolo, 28, of Ventnor was in possession of 246 bags of heroin when she picked up on outstanding drug court warrants Monday in Egg Harbor Township.

In addition to the heroin, Garofolo was found with small quantities of Xanax and marijuana, and drug paraphernalia consisting of a drug-cutting agent and plastic bags.

She was charged with possession and intent to distribute heroin. Garofolo is being held in the Atlantic County jail on $50,000 cash bail.
