This year figures to be an important election in Trenton. Not only will the state elect a new governor, but the entire legislature is up for election as well.

Election Day is Nov. 7, and with all 120 seats up for grabs, voting can be important for people around the state. The vote-by-mail applications can be found on the state's Division of Elections website, and is broken down by county. There is also a general application for the state as well.

Applications to vote by mail must be received one week before Election Day, and the ballots must be returned to the respective county clerks by no later than the time the polls close. The Division of Elections also provides applications in several languages, including Spanish, Korean and Hindi.

Those people who apply to vote by mail are not eligible to vote at the polls, and applications cannot be faxed or emailed in except by members of the military or overseas voters.
