PATERSON — With 22 days to go before voters cast a ballot, gubernatorial candidates Kim Guadagno and Phil Murray will meet for their final debate at William Paterson College.

The debate starts at 7PM at the university's Shea Center for Performing Arts. It will be live streamed on WPGtalkradio.com courtesy of debate sponsors CBS New York, CBS Philadelphia, and NorthJersey.com.

In the latest Fairleigh Dickinson Public Mind Poll Republican Guadagno comes into the debate still trailing Democrat Phil Murphy 32 to 47 percent with 13 percent undecided.

Murphy also leads Guadagno with the most amount of cash on hand going into the final three weeks before election day with $5 million to Guadagno's $1 million.

In their first clash last week, Guadagno made an issue of Murphy's call for making New Jersey a "sanctuary state" if Congress did not come up with a plan for the state's 22,000 immigrants who are here under the DACA program. His debate comment was met with both boos and cheers.

The comment led to a controversial video by Guadagno focused on the case of Jose Carranza, who was convicted in 2007 in the slayings of three college-bound students in Newark. The Peruvian immigrant was in the country illegally.

Murphy hit back with his own video with the candidate in front of the George Washington Bridge attempting to connect Guadagno to Gov. Chris Christie's Bridgegate scandal and his assertion that the New Jersey economy is "stuck."

Former President Barack Obama is appearing at a Murphy campaign rally in Newark on Thursday.
