A website is calling Wildwood "The Most Dangerous City in New Jersey" and Atlantic City, Bridgeton, Millville, and Vineland aren't far behind.

The website that came up with the rankings is called, RoadSnacks, and the site says, "This article is an opinion based on facts and is meant as infotainment. Don’t freak out that we updated it for 2019."

Too late. We're freaking out.

The site says it came up with the rankings based on FBI crime data, including area like Violent Crimes Per Capita, and Property Crimes Per Capita.

RoadSnacks ranked Wildwood at the top of the list "because it has a marginally higher rate of violent crime." The site goes on to say, "Residents of Wildwood had a 1 in 78 chance of being the victim of a rape, murder, or assault in 2017, and a 1 in 11.3 chance of being the victim of theft or arson."

Atlantic City ranks as the 3rd most dangerous city, and Roadsnacks had this to say about it:

A resort city known for its casinos, boardwalks, and beaches as well as inspiring the board of Monopoly, Atlantic City is also the home to quite a bit of crime.

Despite the fact that violent crime and property crime dropped between 2015-17, Atlantic City’s crime statistics are still pretty terrible. In 2017, residents still faced a 1 in 90 chance of being the victim of violence, and a 1 in 1,732 chance of being the victim of a property crime for every year they spent in AC city limits.

Bridgeton came in as 5th most dangerous, followed by Millville at #6 and Vineland at #9.
