Wildwood Crest Police Help Rescue 6-year-old Girl From Roof
This time it wasn't a cat stuck in a tree - it was a kid stuck on a roof.
Wildwood Crest Police say they helped in the rescue of a 6-year-old girl who climbed up on a roof and got stuck there.
Police say they received a 9-1-1 call Monday about a young girl stuck on the roof of the Joseph Von Savage Memorial Pool. Apparently, while her mom was inside the building, the girl waited outside with friends. She threw her flip flop onto the roof of the building and climbed a tree to retrieve it. That's when she realized that she had no way down.
Police Corporal Eckert climbed onto the roof and stayed with the girl until the Wildwood Crest Fire Department arrived with a helpful ladder.
All are reported safe and sound.
