This one hurts real bad.

Frank Campo has passed away today at the age of 76.

I have known Frank Campo since I was about 10 years old.

Frank was such a substantial figure in my life.

He's one of those rare people you’re lucky to have in your life for a lifetime.

Frank was my teacher, head track coach at Atlantic City high and a true mentor.

We won Atlantic City High School's only South Jersey Conference Track Championship in 1975, with Frank Campo as head coach.

Frank Campo was one of the most honorable, decent and generous, fine gentleman that you will ever know.

Campo served as a teacher and athletic director at Atlantic City High School for more than 43 years.

Campo’s dedication as a teacher, head coach and director of athletics was unparalleled.

It was an honor to run for Frank Campo.

Frank Campo loved to win … but, he did so the right way. No short cuts. He was focused on competing the right way … with honesty and integrity.

The NJSIAA, Southern New Jersey Athletic Director’s and the coaching community has lost a Giant … a true sage.

Campo’s quiet leadership style is so rare. He led in a manner that let everyone else around him shine.

Frank’s son Mike wrote a beautiful post about his Father.
