17-Year-Old Boy Shot and Killed in Atlantic City

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the head and killed in Atlantic City early Sunday Morning.

Atlantic County Acting Proscutor Diane Ruberton says Atlantic City Police responded to a call about a shooting on Magellan Avenue shortly before 1am Sunday.

Upon arrival they found the teen with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the hospital where he was soon pronounced dead.

Next of kin have been notified, but the victim's name has not been released.

The shooting remains under investigation, and is being treated as a homicide.
