73-year-old Struck in Absecon Hit-and-run, Police Search for SUV

Police in Absecon are trying to find a vehicle that struck and seriously injured a man just after midnight last night.

Absecon Police say that at 12:24 this morning, officers were called to the Delilah Road overpass as a 73-year-old pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

According to authorities, the man had been walking on the eastbound shoulder of the road when he was struck by what's described as a silver SUV, possibly a Honda Pilot.

Police say the vehicle continued eastbound onto Delilah Road, towards Atlantic City.

The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
