An NFL Gambler Lost $506K on One Bet Sunday at Ocean Casino
Have you ever wondered how much money one gambler has lost on one sports bet? When it comes to betting on the NFL, that answer seems to be $506,000.
That's what one gambler lost Sunday at Ocean Casino Resort's William Hill Sportsbook.
One bold gambler put a whopping $506,000 on the Browns to cover as 3.5-point home underdogs against the Rams.
The bet was first reported in a tweet from Action Network's Darren Rovell.
Half a million dollars gone as the Browns’ offense struggled at home. That bet is the biggest of the NFL season so far and the single biggest a William Hill spokesman could remember.
ESPN.com reports that the bet was split into two tickets, according to William Hill spokesperson Michael Grodsky.
That bet reportedly ran counter to the betting action for the game, with bettors heavily favoring the Rams. That 20-13 final score resulted in most sportsbooks taking a bath on what was apparently the heaviest-bet game of the season so far.
