When you hit the publish button on a social media post, you should consider it a permanent act.

Even if you immediately delete it … someone is going to take a screen capture of it, and, it will live on forever.

The now former Chairwoman of The Atlantic County League of Women Voters has learned this lesson the hard way.

Before getting on his plane to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the Republican National Committee … Atlantic County Republican Party Chairman Don Purdy saw a Facebook post by Victoria Druding … the (now) former Chairwoman of The Atlantic County League of Women Voters.

It was a reprehensible and unconscionable public comment made within just hours of President Trump being shot in an assassination attempt.

Here is a copy of a social media post from Purdy, along with the social media post by Druding as follows:

United States Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden are both calling for national unity.

The Druding social media post is one of the most divisive public communications by a so-called reputable organization … during a time of supreme crisis that you will ever see.

I reached Purdy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who confirmed that “I was about to board my plane to the Republican National Convention and I couldn’t believe my eyes, said Purdy.

“That someone would post something like this only hours after President Trump was almost assassinated is hard to believe” said Purdy.

About Druding’s post, Purdy wrote:

This lady is the head of Atlantic County League of women voters! And people question why no one wants to get involved with them. She should be ashamed of her comments, wrote Purdy.

Druding’s resignation is largely because Purdy took a screen capture of her since deleted offensive comments.

The Atlantic County League of Women Voters sponsored debates for many years … until Republicans refused to participate.
