Officials say eight more people, all with pre-existing health conditions, have died due to COVID-19 in Atlantic County.

Thursday's announced fatalities included three Hammonton residents, two men ages 62 and 76, and a 58-year-old woman; two men from Galloway who were 87 and 93 years old; two men from Northfield, ages 67 and 94, and a 68-year-old Pleasantville man. Seven of the eight were residents of long-term care facilities.

In addition, 64 more Atlantic County residents tested positive for the virus, including 28 men (ages 20 to 63) and 36 women (ages 16 to 91).

Hammonton - 12
Galloway Township, Pleasnatville - 10 each
Atlantic City, Egg Harbor Township - 7 each
Absecon - 4
Hamilton Township, Ventnor City - 3 each
Buena Vista Township, Linwood - 2 each
Egg Harbor City, Margate City, Northfield, Somers Point - 1 each

As of today, Atlantic County has a total of 1,666 residents who have tested positive with 104 deaths. 36 more residents have been cleared as recovered for a total of 447.
