Barefoot Country Fest Concert Site Taking Shape in Wildwood, NJ
It's the party we've been waiting for -- three big days and a bonus night of great live country music on the Wildwood Beach.
It's the Barefoot Country Music Fest on the beach in Wildwood and from the looks of things, the concert fest area's footprint is massive.
The setup is certainly bigger than the Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw concerts previously held on the site.
I had a chance to tour the site the last couple of days, and after some pesky rainstorms earlier in the week, all systems are a GO for the event, which kicks off Thursday night. The event is expected to draw tens of thousands of country fans to the world-famous Wildwood beach.
The main stage will be massive. Crews were almost done putting up most of the stage Tuesday afternoon.
The Barefoot folks know how to take care of VIPs. There will be several levels of fun for the VIPs -- Super VIP is already sold out, while Main Stage VIP and general admission are still available.
The Cat Country 107.3 stage - a prime viewing area that will be 30 feet high - was still under construction. (If you're wearing a red Cat Country tank top, we might pluck you from the crowd to sit with us for a set or two.)
As mentioned above, the site is huge. Here's a look at the layout:
Two big stages of music, more venues for music and fun, lots of food and beverage options, and more!
Parking? It's available right on the beach! Find out more here.
Finally, if you're going to Barefoot, please share your photos with us!. Here's how.
