Burger King has a new app and the chain has come up with a no-holds-barred way to market it, basically by trolling McDonald's.

First things first, download the app. Then get within 600 feet of a McDonald's location. That will automatically unlock the one cent Whopper deal. Just pull up to Burger King with your app and claim your sandwich.

BK is calling this "The Whopper Detour" and it's only running through December 12th.
