EHT Man Busted for Home Burglary

An Egg Harbor Township man is behind bars after being charged with stealing a safe from a home on Dorset Avenue.

Police say they were called to the home in reference to a burglary on Wednesday, and detectives were quickly able to identify a suspect.

Officers responded to the last known address of Zavier Clark, 23, and arrested him after a short foot pursuit. Items taken from the home, including a safe, were recovered.

Clark was charged with "Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief, Eluding and Violation of a Final Restraining Order (not related to the burglary). "
